This vintage Trifari mother of pearl butterfly necklace is circa 1950.
The butterfly pendent is mother of pearl featuring white wings that show natural, light grey veining. The body and settings are gold toned metal. The chain is gold plated with a slight twist design and from the same era but came as a separate piece. Blu Rose has added gold vermeil fastenings.
The butterfly symbolizes transformation, love and growth and this piece would compliment many different looks.
