The Blu Rose Story

Born from a lifelong connection to fashion, music and self-expression, Blu Rose is the creative vision of Lisa Scales

After more than two decades working across some of the worlds leading fashion houses, from the runway to global campaigns, Lisa returned to her roots to create something more personal - something with soul. 

"Jewellery was always what I loved most. I'd spend my spare time between modelling assignments designing pieces and selling them to friends and through a little shop in Primrose Hill. Now, finally being able to build my own label feels like coming home."

Named with inspiration from her daughters, Blu Rose brings together years immersed in fashion and music with Lisa's love of the unusual and unexpected. Her designs have a contemporary femininity with a subtle rock 'n' roll edge - delicate and refined, but never to perfect.

Every contemporary Blu Rose piece is made by Lisa herself, from the jewellery to the finishing touches. She also handcrafts the gift pouches and oversees the photography, styling and creative direction of the brand.

Alongside her own designs sits the Blu Rose Vintage Collection, born from a chance discovery in one of Lisa's favourite vintage haunts - an old leather suitcase filled with jewellery spanning decades.

"When I got home and looked through it properly, I was overwhelmed by the beauty within. It felt like seeing a little part of someone's life through their jewellery."

Some pieces are left untouched, preserving their history and character. Others are thoughtfully reimagined or repurposed, giving something once loved a new chapter while respecting its past.

Vintage elements also find their way into Lisa's own designs, creating a natural bridge between old and new. Nothing is chosen simply to follow a trend; each piece should feel like a discovery.

Music has always been part of the Blu Rose story too - from backstage moments and touring with musician friends to creative collaborations. Those influences run quietly through the collection: expressive, individual and with just a little edge.

"I wanted Blu Rose to feel like finding a treasure in a vintage shop - something individual and precious, just like the person who finds it."

At its heart, Blu Rose is about individuality, creativity and pieces with a story to tell.
