This necklace is a wonderful mix of re-purposed assemblage jewellery. New life has been given to forgotten components to make this a truly unique piece. By curating disparate elements from mid-century jewellery, this piece transforms historical fragments into a sophisticated, modern silhouette.
The focal point is an adaption of a vintage filigree pearl clasp. Originally from a set of Rosita pearls (hallmarked on the back of the clasp) who were famously known for their top-tier simulated pearls, this intricate silver-tone clasp has been reimagined as a decorative stay, grounding the design with classic detail. An item that was once worn at the back of a necklace, now takes centre stage!
Different chains have been added from other vintage pieces and at the drop, two Swarovski crystals are attached as well as a sterling silver faceted crystal. The necklace is finished off with a sterling silver spring clasp fastening. Please note that this is a Y-drop necklace, so the clasp does not slide.
This necklace, although from vintage elements, has a contemporary feel, minimalist yet ornate.
